Nick Gunn

Nick is a Managing Director at ACT Capital Advisors, where he leverages a rare combination of legal and financial experience to support clients through complex transactions. Before transitioning into investment banking, he spent 13 years practicing business law, gaining deep expertise in deal structuring, negotiation, and strategic advisory—skills that continue to shape his approach to client engagement and transaction execution.

Beyond his investment banking focus, Nick has been involved in real estate investment, startup advisory, and business strategy consulting, working closely with founders, operators, and investor groups targeting emerging and early-stage companies. His experience spans a broad range of industries, including seafood, energy, oil and gas, healthcare and biotech, digital media, construction, and real estate. This breadth gives him a well-rounded perspective on business dynamics across varying growth stages and market environments.

Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Washington and his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University. He and his family split their time between homes near Seattle and Sun Valley, Idaho. A lifelong skier, Nick enjoys staying close to the mountains and spending as much time as possible on the slopes.
