About the Role

As a Research Analyst specialising in the Technology sector, you will lead analytical coverage and deliver investment research across key technology verticals including software, hardware, AI, digital platforms, cybersecurity, fintech and emerging technology segments. You will develop independent investment perspectives, produce sector-driven insights and contribute to actionable research publications that inform institutional clients, senior leadership and market participants. This is a strategic role at the intersection of finance, technology and market intelligence, offering exposure to innovation cycles shaping the global economy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead company and sector research across the technology ecosystem, including competitive benchmarking, market sizing, thematic mapping and trend analysis
• Build and maintain advanced forecasting and valuation models (DCF, comps, scenario simulation, sensitivity testing and factor-based analysis)
• Produce high-quality research outputs including equity reports, thematic studies, investment frameworks, industry outlooks and earnings commentaries
• Participate in earnings calls, analyst briefings, expert interviews and industry events to refine investment views and deepen sector knowledge
• Monitor and interpret regulatory, macroeconomic and technological developments affecting valuation drivers and investment sentiment
• Develop actionable investment theses grounded in data, competitive insights and independent perspective
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including quantitative research, strategy and investment teams to enhance research positioning and delivery
• Uphold rigorous research principles through consistent documentation, data integrity and compliance alignment

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical or analytical field; CFA Level I/II progression is advantageous
• 3–6 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, consulting, corporate strategy, venture capital or technology-focused financial analysis
• Strong financial modelling expertise with the ability to interpret market data, financial statements and strategic drivers
• Demonstrated interest in the global technology landscape, product economics and innovation-led business models
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesise complex topics into clear, structured and compelling insights
• High degree of analytical discipline, intellectual curiosity and commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based research
• Experience in Asian or global technology markets is preferred
