Nate Nead

Nate Nead is an experienced M&A advisor and investment banker who has successfully managed numerous middle-market deals in real estate, software, hardware, digital marketing, agribusiness, consumer products, professional services and oil & gas. An experienced entrepreneur, Nate has founded, operated and exited several digital media, SaaS and software companies, growing them from startup to multi-million dollar market leaders. He brings a wealth of both operational and transactional understanding to the InvestmentBank.com team.

In the last decade Nate has effectuated over $120M in divestitures for clients, creating exits well above owners’ expectations through strategic sell-side auctions. His sell-side work in oil & gas, business consulting and software & technology has helped to garner valuations as high as 40% above fair market value with EBITDA multiples as high as 14x. Nate’s experience in running broad, strategic auctions has assisted entrepreneurs and long-standing business owners consistently exceed their best expectations.

Nate received his undergraduate degree in Business Entrepreneurship with minors in Chemistry and Biology from Brigham Young University and his MBA in Finance from the University of Washington. He holds his Series 79, 82 and 63 FINRA licenses.

Managing Director

David Lopez

David is a seasoned M&A advisor and entrepreneur with a successful track-record of getting deals done. His experience encompasses over 10 years of working alongside CEO’s to facilitate corporate finance initiatives that seek to: Maximize Shareholder Value; Establish Synergistic Partnerships; Fundraise Private Capital; Execute Growth Goals; and Pursue Exit Strategies, resulting in excess of $250MM+ of enterprise value created.

Throughout his career David has always looked to be a trusted value-added partner to his client’s by offering Merger and Acquisition; Capital Fundraising; and Strategic Advisory Services to: Healthcare, Information Technology, Medical Device, Food & Business Service Companies with $10MM – $100MM in revenues.

Prior to his work as an M&A advisor David was founder and managing partner of a multi-modality healthcare startup that involved diagnosing and rehabilitating patients with dizziness and balance disorders as well as providing a full-service audiology and hearing-aid dispensing practice, which he helped grow and eventually exited through the sale of his founder shares.

David has an undergraduate degree in Economics from York University Toronto, is a Certified Mergers & Acquisition Advisor, Licensed Real Estate Agent and holds a Series 82 and 63 FINRA licenses.

Matthew Bickel

Matt has been a licensed investment banker since 2017 having worked for three firms during this time period. Prior to being registered with FINRA, Matt worked in an analyst role assisting in the process of facilitating foreign issuers with publicly listing their companies in the US.

Matt has also assisted on sell-side transactions approaching $100 Million USD where his duties included financial analysis, researching market conditions, assessing business metrics, reporting to the heads of management, creating comprehensive marketing materials, and conducting due diligence.

His experiences include training management on how to quantify their market position and the macroeconomic conditions facing their business so they can effectively represent their companies to prospective acquirers such as private equity, family offices, strategic corporate buyers, and high-net-worth investors.

He has helped various companies obtain different types of growth financing through fundraising efforts that include equity capital private placements and debt facilities such as senior and tranched mezzanine debt.

Matt is a graduate of Sonoma State University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics and currently holds a Series 7, 63, and 79 FINRA licenses.

Chris Lee

Christopher K. Lee is a strategy and innovation professional with deep experience in healthcare. Recently, he has served in marketing leadership roles at a leading academic medical center and a large community clinic. Prior to that, he held multiple roles at a fast-growing SaaS startup that was successfully acquired. Chris has also worked at a medical business brokerage doing valuations to support potential M&A deals.

Chris graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology from UC Irvine and a Master of Public Health from San Diego State University. He has served as a mentor at several healthcare hackathons and business competitions. Chris has been quoted in publications including Harvard Business Review, U.S. News & World Report, Medscape, and Becker’s Hospital Review.
Director of Valuations

Christopher Majdi

Chris is a certified business appraiser and certified valuation analyst. He specializes in business valuation, compensation valuation and complex healthcare transactions. He has served as a senior valuation consultant and merger and acquisition advisor at various management consulting firms including Vizient, Inc. and Premier, Inc. (NASDAQ: PINC).

During his time at Premier he was responsible for the valuation and fair market value (FMV) service line within Strategy, Innovation and Population Health. This included business valuation, compensation valuation and transaction advisory work for health systems, medical groups and health plans. He has managed projects which measured the financial value of assets and contractual terms between these entities.

Chris is a certified healthcare business consultant, has a BA from Cal State Fullerton and a Masters in Healthcare from Cal State Long Beach.
